Founded while she was still attending high school in Kaiserslautern, Germany in 2011; Gun & Girl is the compositional outlet for drummer and percussionist, Regina Rossum. Initially, a purely electronic project, Regina gradually expanded the sonic range and pallette of the group by recruiting, firing, and re-recruiting the best musicians she could find amongst the Ktown aushaus, jazz, rock, electronic, and avant-garde music undergrounds.
Although the initial live debut of the band proved to be disastrous, due to a series of debilitating panic attacks, associated with stage fright, Regina seized on the calamity as an opportunity and retrenched her compositional efforts with a singular focus on producing work for realization in the studio without the burden of concern for live performance.
The subsequent year saw what Ktown locals have unanimously proclaimed the birth of Himmelhaus. A simultaneous fusion and disregard for distinctions between electronic and acoustic music, sound, and genres.
